AOI began as one artist's pursuit of a different kind of wellbeing — and became a synchronised light-and-sound technology, developed over two decades of research into light, sound and the body.
Its founder, Johny Dar, started out in fashion before a deeper question pulled at him: what does it really take to feel well? The search took him across Thailand, India, Japan and China, studying old systems of healing — and a turning point in the mountains became the seed of AOI.
The journey
From the runway to rejuvenation.
Johny Dar launched his own fashion label in 1999 and showed alongside the names of the era — but he kept chasing a bigger idea about wellbeing.
That search became a belief that the body has its own innate capacity to restore itself, and that light and sound can help it along. AOI is the technology built around that belief.

Every AOI device is engineered, not improvised — produced in partnership with Otopront in Germany and manufactured in an FDA-registered facility.
